Based on one of the basic policies of Kanazawa University Hospital, “Research and Development for the Advancement of Clinical Medicine,” the Center was established in 1999 as the “Clinical Trial Management Center” to manage and support the implementation of IND trials by CRC (Clinical Research Coordinators).
In 2013, the center was renamed the “Innovative and Clinical Research Center, Kanazawa University (iCREK)” to promote high-quality clinical research and investigator-initiated IND trials in addition to its existing operations, and now has 10 divisions with specialists such as study managers, data managers, and biostatisticians to conduct activities aimed at further development of clinical research at Kanazawa University Hospital.
